  • Security policies
  • Information about safe server

    1. What does the expression "stable commercial policies" mean?
Stable commercial policy means that the institutional and commercial information that each hotel operator publishes at Puntaweb Hotels is the same in a hundred porcent than the one provided in the hotel itself.
    2. Who is responsible for the violation of a stable commercial policy?
If it is stated unequivocally that a hotel operator falls in a violation of the commercial policies (differences in the service and price informations of the hotels) the the hotel operator himself/herself will be held responsible.

That is, Puntaweb is not responsible for the violation of any commercial policy.
    3. To whom I should report a violation of the stable commercial policies?
To Puntaweb through hoteles@puntaweb.com. Puntaweb has the legal authorization to log out an associated hotel in case it is proven unequivocally that it violated the commercial policies.
    4. Which policy applies this site regarding the room rates?
The rates published by each hotel operator in Puntaweb Hotels must be the same or cheaper than the rack rates at the respective hotel.
    5. Can this site's rates be different from the rack rates at the hotel?
Yes. The rates published in this site can be cheaper than the rack rates at the hotel, depending on the will of each particular hotel operator.

Each hotel operator will also be able to make additional discounts according to their own interest.
    6. Is it possible to the rates published in the site to be more expensive than the rack rates at the hotel?
No. If the rates published in the site are more expensive than the rack rates at the hotel, the hotel operator falls in a commercial policy violation.
    7. Which services or taxes are included in the rates?
The rates usually include breakfast. In some hotel there's an "all inclusive" or half board regime, which is properly specified in the hotel's file.

In Uruguay there's a legislation that exonerates the non-resident foreigners from paying IVA (tax), and this is taken into account in the rates.

Uruguayans and resident foreigners must pay IVA (23%).
    8. Which are the options to pay the remainings and extras?
Puntaweb Hotels customers can pay the remaining of their stay and extras in the way they want (same credit card, a different credit card, cash, etc.).

In som hotels the remainings must be paid in cash. This commercial policy is properly informed in the hotel's file.
    9. Which destabilizing aspect may a hotel reservation suffer?
The one and only destabilizing item that a hotel reservation made through Puntaweb Hotels may suffer is that the hotel operator had committed over-booking (oversale of the hotel).

The taste differences between the services provided by the hired hotel and the ones expected by the customer are not considered destabilizing aspects of a hotel reservation made through Puntaweb Hotels.
    10. Who is responsible for the "over booking" phenomenon?
The hotel operator is responsible for over booking a reservation made through Puntaweb Hotels and he/she must supply the customer with the following services without any additional cost:

    1) Accommodation in another hotel of the same or higher cathegory during the hired period.

    2) Transfer towards the new hotel.

    3) A 3 minutes phone call (local, national or international).
