Solanas beach is a traditionally popular beach.
Whereas a few years ago it too was a showcase for the trendies, now it has become a family beach again.
It is ideal for children, as it is shallow, and normally very calm.
There are two "paradores" which are meeting places for the younger people.
People tend to arrive in the early afternoon, as the sunset seen from Solanas is quite overwhelming.
There is a wonderful view of the hills, particularly the Pan de Azúcar.
It is also a favourite anchor point for sailors, and jet skis are permitted.
