English

Piriapolis beaches are located between the mouth of Solis Stream to the area known as Punta Negra (Black Point), in a coastal strip 25 kilometers long.

The most crowded is Rambla Beach. It is located near down town, its waters are calm and not very deep, and you can practise several sports, from beach volley to windsurf.

The popular Large Beach is the continuation of the Rambla Beach, even though its sands are different, there are several rocky formations and the waters roughen with more ferocity.

More distant is the Green Beach, named this way after the reigning colour of its waters. It has thin sand and rocky formations perdominate in the area, making it ideal for fishing or other water sports like diving or submarine hunting.

Nearby the latter and guarded by the Donkies' Hill, there is the Beatiful Beach, really crowded and of calm and safe waters, ideal for families or practising water sports.

Other important beaches are San Francisco Beach, ideal for surfing, Punta Colorada Beach, fishermen location par excellence, and the most distant Punta Negra Beach, preferred by those who search for peace and quiet far away from civilization.
